Small Business at Work brings together Tri-C students and local small businesses through paid internships for:

• Students to hone skills through hands-on projects, grow their network, and build a resume for future career opportunities.
  
  
• Small businesses to address pressing workforce and talent pipeline challenges in various industries.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

• A paid internship assignment with a local small business including nonprofit organizations

• Students are paid from grant funds through Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) or partner institution

• Students complete up to 120 work hours over 12 consecutive weeks

• Students are not compensated for completed work hours that exceed 120 work hours or fall outside the 12-week work period

EMPLOYER ELIGIBILITY

• Small business or nonprofit organization located in northeast Ohio and registered with the State of Ohio

• Provide an internship assignment that is a meaningful project or set of job tasks

• Provide capacity for student to complete up to 120 work hours over 12 consecutive weeks
